My Why
Lead2Bloom ultimately reflects my deep love of education. Not just learning, but inspiring others through new knowledge. There’s no better feeling than watching someone mentally process a challenge, find a solution, and execute on it with confidence. That light-bulb moment.
Some of my own light-bulb moments have centered around leadership. After two decades of leading teams across corporate, nonprofit, and education, I began reflecting on the leaders who shaped me and what made some experiences so different from others. I also thought about those who bring a smile to my face and whose lessons still inspire me. It’s a short but meaningful list of VIPs.
When I looked closer at what made each of them so memorable, one thing stood out: how deeply they cared. They cared for me as a person through real engagement and tough love; they cared for their teams as valuable contributors and capable problem-solvers; and they cared for themselves in a way that modeled steadiness and calm.
I was also reminded of those that didn't quite make my VIP list and my smile faded as a discouraging pattern emerged. So many people know how to manage the work but were never taught how to lead the people doing it. Forever curious, I wanted to understand the skills, mindsets, and everyday actions that made the difference. And because I go hard for this topic, I kept digging.
Fun fact: while leaning into leadership, I was also teaching myself to grow houseplants and began to see an unexpected connection...
that growing people is a lot like growing plants! Just like planting a seed, stepping into a leadership requires preparation to thrive and growth. It takes the right environment, ongoing care, and the willingness to adjust when something isn’t thriving.
And that’s why Lead2Bloom exists. We help new and evolving leaders learn what everyone expects them to know but no one ever teaches: the deeper work of leadership: growing people, strengthening teams, and shaping culture.

Marshawn Razor, MBA earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Howard University and her Master of Business Administration from Loyola University Chicago, where she is currently pursuing her doctoral degree.
When not blooming leaders, Marshawn enjoys blooming indoor plants, recreating restaurant dishes for her husband to taste test, getting lost in 90's music, and falling asleep on offbeat documentaries.
It's also rumored that her signature nail designs are a conversation starter!
